Jesus Meets Our Needs strongly uses "internal evidences," i.e., the text of the Bible, to prove that Jesus' claims to reveal and represent God, to answer man's spiritual needs, and to offer man hope beyond the grave are reliable. In extracting the evidence which supports Jesus' claims, the reader is provided with a valuable by-product: the analytical process. Luke and John present the facts of the case; perhaps as dialogue, perhaps as narrative, or perhaps as direct instructions of Jesus himself. The raw data is then analyzed and the argument builds: The facts become the support for conclusions on which man can confidently rely. The author takes the reader through eight chapters that lead logically from the beginning questions through the birth, life and ministry of Jesus all the way to his death and resurrection. The entire work leads to the powerful conclusion: An examination of Peter's sermon in Acts 2, where for the first time in earth's history man was told how to be part of what Jesus did for him.

- The nature of man--who he is, why he is, what he yearns for, how he faces deathis a primary point of the Bible. This book briefly examines our needs as humans; spiritual beings in bio-degradable bodies.
- The claims of Jesus--to reveal and represent God, to answer man's spiritual needs, to offer man hope beyond the graveare also a key focus of the Bible. Again, this volume presents Jesus' claim succinctly.
- How can we trust the claims Jesus made? Are they true? Is he really the answer to every spiritual need I'll ever have? The bulk of this book addresses these very questions by examining six lines of evidence from the Gospels (mainly, Luke and John) that support Jesus' claims.
- Both the birth of John the Baptist and that of Jesus abound in drama and import. Significant events in themselves, they pointed to a monumental event to come.
- The public teaching of Jesus evoked such an awe-inspired comment as, "No man ever spoke the way this man does." And Jesus' miracles testified of him, as Nicodemus agreed, that he was "a teacher come from God."
- Finally, the death and resurrection of Jesus provided ultimate, conclusive proof. Jesus died for me and answered every spiritual need I have.

Amasses testimony from several sources to prove that Jesus raised from death. Resurrection proves what Jesus claimed: He is the answer to the spiritual thirsts and needs of every man.
Key features:
Jesus Meets Our Needs is especially useful for conversion studies or group studies. Interspersed at conclusive points throughout each chapter are a series of thought provoking paragraphs titled: "What About You?" They pointedly ask the reader to grapple with and grasp the significance of the material just discussed. Then, at the end of each chapter are five to seven "Questions to Consider." These make good "grist" for the discussion mill in group studies.
The body of this book reasons with the reader to accept the claims of Jesus: Not just as intellectually true, but as his only hope to see God. You will be empowered by the thoughts it evokes. Your faith will be strengthened. Your ability to use the facts of the gospel will be enhanced. Your opportunities to teach and strengthen others will be increased.
In addition to your personal use, this book was designed to meet multiple needs. For example, it would make an excellent gift for someone interested in becoming a Christian, but who is still undecided, since it deals with the basic spiritual needs of man and why man can trust that Jesus is the answer.
You can use Jesus Meets Our Needs as an evangelism aid. Some churches are using it as a topical study guide in the adult Bible class. Or it could be the core of in-home Bible studies with neighbors and friends. Also, the book includes at least nine good sermons (including copies of transparency charts).

What Readers Say Praised by Reviewers!
With great pleasure I highly recommend Rod MacArthur's new book Jesus Meets Our Needs. Rod did such a masterful job of showing the internal evidences in the Bible surrounding the life of Christ that I found his book stimulating, thought-provoking, and faith strengthening. I especially loved his two chapters on the births of John the Baptist and Jesus. Rod's unusual approach made the people and the circumstances surrounding those events come to life.
I can see this book being used successfully in adult classes of mature Christians as well as in classes for teenagers and young adults who are going through the natural phase of questioning the principles Mom and Dad taught. It is also perfect for giving to people you are trying to teach." (Patsy Rae Dawson, author Marriage: A Taste of Heaven series.)

What a great joy to receive, read, and energetically teach from your new book, Jesus Meets Our Needs. I am currently teaching in China and have many people here asking me about this great teacher, Jesus. I have used your book with its effective charts and challenging questions to help answer their questions and further such studies. For those looking to teach effective and challenging truths from the core of our faith, I have highly recommended your book to family and friends alike. Thanks for the good work. We are reviewing it for Bible class. (Christian)
This would be a good book to teach to our young Christians who are about to go to college. I'll never forget questioning everything I had been taught by my parents. A book like this would have saved me much grief (and cut the legs out from under the atheist professors I had). It would have really helped me get through a period of questioning and doubting. (Christian)
We used this book in our teenage class. The response was tremendous! Great job! (Bible Class Teacher)
