"My dad became an atheist after graduating with a degree in physics. He became a Christian after Sam taught him this material. Now I'd like to study it for myself." (Christian)

In the fall of 1972, Dr. Paul Brians, a humanities professor and faculty sponsor for the League for the Promotion of Militant Atheism at Washington State University, issued a challenge to the "Jesus People" (whose motto was "One Way") in the campus newspaper to debate the "evidences of their faith." Brians' motto was "No Way." We agreed with the Jesus People that there was "One Way," but also affirmed that they were not following it, but rather Pentecostal denominationalism. Unfortunately for the Jesus People, their concept of faith, admittedly not being a product of their intellect, wasn't something they could debate, so the challenge was going unanswered by any believers. A small group of Christians requested that Samuel G. Dawson accept the challenge to debate Brians, which he did. A physics and mathematics graduate from Texas Tech, he did research in celestial mechanics and intercontinental missile guidance in the aerospace industry before deciding to preach the gospel of Christ. A short meeting with Dr. Brians produced rules of conduct for the debate, and in December 1972, an orderly debate was held at the Student Union Building Auditorium on the Washington State University campus at Pullman, Washington, with an attendance of approximately 800 each night. Since atheists do not accept the Bible's statement that God exists, Sam laid aside his Bible on the first night. He proved the existence of God through indisputable scientific facts. Then on the second night, he presented Bible facts that weren't known by scientists until several thousand years later to prove that the Bible couldn't possibly be of human origin. First Night

Add to shopping cart Regular audio CDs are popular because they can be played in computers, CD players, car stereos, portable players, and even in most DVD players. However, each disc is limited to only 80 minutes of recording time, which requires more discs for a series like this. This makes them more expensive than MP3s.

MP3 Audio CD -- $9.95
Add to shopping cart MP3s contain compressed files that allow them to store more data than regular CDs. They will play in most computers, DVD players, many CD players, about half of the newer car stereos and Walkman-style players, and on PDAs. Look for the logo on the CD player. Purchasing MP3s instead of CDAs will often save enough money to buy a player.
