A gospel preacher for over twenty-five years, Rod MacArthur’s varied experiences have given him a deep love and concern for others, not only in teaching them the gospel, but also in helping them develop into mature Christians who are able to teach others. Over the years Rod has moderated a live call-in radio talk show, edited two different monthly journals, engaged in two religious debates, and written numerous articles, booklets, and other religious materials. He has worked with congregations in Idaho, Washington, and Indiana.
A chemical engineering student for four years at the University of Washington, Rod has a long-held interest in critically challenging and analyzing data, especially Biblical evidences. He is most intrigued by what may be referred to as "internal evidences"; those which require nothing other than the text of the Bible to explore and examine. His book Jesus Meets Our Needs: Jesus died for me! skillfully extracts the evidence which supports Jesus' claims to represent God and answer man’s needs. The book also gives the reader a valuable by-product: the analytical process.
Rod has been married to his wife Linda since 1970 and has three children. He presently works with the church in Auburn, Washington where he expects people to be accountable and develop into spiritually mature Christians.
